How did the Bomb Blast of Sept 11, 2001 attack change the political culture in the United States and the relationship between races?

  1. Introduction



The US bomb blast attack of September 11, 2001, which involved 19 hijackers, is well-known in the United States and beyond. This attack involved a group of 19 hijackers who took control of four commercial airlines and crashed them on important sites such as the New York’s World Trade Center Towers and the Pentagon. The attack well covered by all media platforms including radio televisions, print media, and the internet and exposed the fact that the United States was more vulnerable to terrorism.



The attack left about 2800 people dead. The attack had significant effects on the political culture and political integration in the fight against terrorism in the United States, with the effects even going beyond the United States. The attack on September 11, 2001, which involved the Al-Qaeda which is an Islamic Militant Terrorism group resulted in the increased political participation of the affected persons to the fight against terrorism in the United States.



The families in the United States become more involved in political activities aimed at fighting terrorism.  Further, the party politics changed with more people supporting the Republican Party especially on the view that there was a need to change the policies. The attack also increased the political and military aggression against fanatical Islamism across the United States and the Muslim world. The relationship and suspicion among races also changed. It was reported that there was increased hate against the South Asians.

The 9/11 attack had significant effects on the United States and beyond, and especially on the view against different races and the fight terrorism. The attack resulted in a shift in the political culture in the United States as well as cohesion and integration among different races. Seeing the effects of terrorism and the way it affected the United States, the citizens become more involved in the fight against terrorism through increased participation in the political activities aimed at fighting threats against the United States.



The Republican Party was advocating for stricter rules and policies which many people perceived as essential in the fight against terrorism. For this reason, there was increased support for this political party.  The attack also resulted in aggression against the Islamic world and increased hatred against the people of the South Asian origin.
